My new book The Time Machine is about a man who creates a time machine and goes into the year 802,701. He recounts everything in the new world with a few peers. He describes the future as a forest like world filled with unintelligent beings called the Eloi, which are what humans have evolved to. The time traveler also speaks of the Morlocks, an underground race of humanoid creatures which apperently use the Eloi as food.
This story is very intuative, and the ending is interesting. It made me think about what the world is going to come to, and when it will all end.
Don't forget that the morlocks are also descended from humanity, though I don't really understand why we would evolve (or devolve) into either species.
